Emirates airline has been forced to change pilot and flight attendant rosters following the Donald Trump’s executive order suddenly banning people from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.
An Emirates spokeswoman told Reuters that the airline had made “the necessary adjustments to our crewing, to comply with the latest requirements”.
People from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen are now banned from entering the US for a period of 90 days.
Emirates is the world’s largest long haul airline and employs 23,000 flight attendants and around 4,000 pilots from around the world. The airline said that the impact of the ban on its operations would be minimal.
