Emirates’ planners have been busy and the award-winning Dubai airline will be introducing new routes and expanding capacity on existing routes on an impressive scale in the coming months.

Among the highlights are second daily services to Athens, Geneva and Los Angeles and the use of bigger planes on routes to Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Emirates are also introducing the A380 to their popular Dubai – Washington DC route to take up the slack when United Airlines drops the route in late January.

Dubai’s many expat Filipinos will be happy to hear about the new daily flights to Cebu and Clark in the Philippines.   Speaking about the new route, which launches on March 30, Thierry Antinori of Emirates said,  “With the opening of this service, Emirates will enhance the choice for travellers in the Philippines, who will be able to conveniently connect to 39 cities in Europe, 16 in the Middle East as well as a number of destinations across our extensive network in Africa and the Americas, including Panama from February 1.”
